Fledglings is a single player platformer/puzzle game. The evil Grizzles have invaded the Candy Planet and seek to destroy all of the Jellies and their juvenile fledglings. The player takes control of Doughy, the last adult Jelly, and must manipulate the environment while avoiding enemies in order to safely escort the fledglings across a level.
Doughy is controlled using the A and D keys to move, the Space Bar to jump and double-jump, and the Ctrl Key to push blocks.
The game is created with a bright, fun, and pixelated art style. This art style was chosen to provide a juxtaposition with the dark atmosphere of the game and to bring the player’s attention to the strangeness of it.
Fledglings is developed for the PC and programmed in C++ and DirectX using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
