Viewpoint is a software company that designs, builds, and maintains management software for the construction management industry. Maxwell Systems, the company that I work for that Viewpoint recently purchased, develops and maintains a suite of programs that provide all-in-one solutions for managing construction projects. Their software keeps the projects on track through planning, bidding, and building. I currently work as a general purpose programmer focused on database management and data display. My responsibilities included ensuring that the user experience is smooth and that all information related to my tasks are correct. Recently I designed and built an interface for a correction tool to be used on corrupted data in the program’s database as well as a tool to handle gathering information for monthly capitalization reports and exporting them to an Excel file in a readable format. In addition, I debugged and fixed user concerns with the main product line.
